Controlled Substances Policy
We have a strict policy against prescribing Schedule II controlled substances on an on going basis. This includes stimulants such as Adderall or narcotics such as oxycodone and oxycontin.
We may at times prescribe Schedule III or IV controlled substances such as benzodiazepines for very short term use at the sole discretion of the physician, however the use of these medications do not align with our practice philosophy and hence we only use them extremely rarely.
If you take these medications on an ongoing basis, it is very important to discuss with the physician prior to signing up with us so our goals are aligned.
